EMC 2019’s theme explores THE NEXT NOW, and as part of this exploration we’re bringing you curated playlists that shine a light on the music that is making waves in our community.
In this edition, Jamz Supernova from BBC 1 Xtra takes us inside her club sets peppered with some new and upcoming artists that have caught her eye.

- Tell us about your selections, why do these tracks stand out for you?
These selections are a mixture of producers I enjoy playing in my club sets alongside new up & coming producers who I feel have a unique and exciting take on electronic music. For me the below tracks evoke feelings and thats what I look for in Electronic music, it has to make me feel something.
2. Who is your ‘one to watch’ in 2020?
My one to watch for 2020 is India Jordan, she’s a London based producer who is signed to a great label called Local Action. I’ve been loving her live streamed DJ Sets, so much energy! Her productions are just as great as her DJ’ing, her releases only date back to the beginning of 2019 but the quality is super high and she grows with every release. Warper is my fave and if thats a taste of whats to come the future is exciting for India Jordan.
3. What most excites you about the decade ahead?
For the next decade I’m most excited about more diversity coming through. We’ve had a great surge in the last few years & I really hope it continues and the face of Electronic music becomes more reflective of the world. Hearing different voices, stories and experiences is what pushes music forward. I’m also excited to see where technology takes us, some people will be worried but I think it’s about the way we use it, and I can’t wait to see how artists will use it to push their sound, the production on their shows & their visuals.
