Donald lived in Japan for three years to study the culture of Japan as a teenager. After graduating he ran a production house for over 10 years in Hong Kong, event managing and involved in successful productions including 555 Tobacco Music Festival (The first 10k + attended outdoor dance party in China), L’Oréal 100 Anniversary Celebration, The Miss World Hong Kong, and Johnnie Walker Black Label F1 Racing Girl Contest.
During this same period, he stepped into the business of Clubbing in Hong Kong since. Since 2000, he worked for QUEENS Club, HEI HEI Club, HAHA Club, BEIJING Club, BILLION Club, MAGNUM, and ZENTRAL as the Marketing Director & Group General Manager. Also, he participated in the project of The MAGNUM GROUP (Stock No: 2080) IPO, successfully launched with the music club business. He has a wealth experience to offer a new generation of embracing the clubbing industry.
Donald’s curiosity brings him to different milestones in his life. He was a winner of the “The Best Service Award – HKMA”. The guest hostname “Mr. Fok” for a program of “夜夜開放 & 精華遊花園” in radio station HKCR2 (2006-2008) and the host of the youth TV program ‘潮爆新世代” in Guangzhou TV Sport Channel (2009-2010).
Don established Clubbing In Asia Group Limited (CIA) in 2014 as a Founder and Operations Director. The company’s focused on the promotion of music festivals, artist management, club exchanges, club marketing, and music PR services. Through CIA, many of their clients’ clubs in China successfully got voted into the DJMag Top100 clubs including MYST, SOS, SPACE. Artist DJ L under CIA, was the first Chinese DJ get listed to the in the global DJMag top 100.
Since 2016, Donald took on the honourable role of CEO for MIXMAG China. Through the online media, event planning, artist management, forum lectures, and product production, he is hoping to give the Chinese a more dynamic choice of music!
