Originally from Newcastle, I moved to Sydney in 2010 to pursue a degree in Event Management. After graduating, I went on to work in a number of client-facing roles as well as an internship at Secret Service PR. It was during this internship that I realised the music industry was the right one for me. The desire to learn more about the industry took me over to the UK in 2014, where I landed on my feet in the world’s largest entertainment company, Live Nation. Working in the Social Media and Content team, I worked across 300+ tours per year and some of the biggest festivals in the UK, including Wireless festival, Download Festival, Bluesfest UK and more. After a solid two years overseas, I returned to sunny Australia and found my new working family at Cattleyard Promotions as the Digital Marketing Manager, where I lead the social, content and digital worlds for Groovin the Moo, THE PLOT and Newtown Festival. After an incredibly successful three and a half years in the role, I recently finished up at Cattleyard and begun working at iconic live music venue, Oxford Art Factory, as the Marketing Manager – leading all things social, content and online marketing.
Understanding your audience and how to engage them organically with content on social media is where my expertise lies and is truly what gets me excited. In this world of ever-changing technology where social media is saturated with content, I love the challenge of tackling how to cut through it to engage your audience and achieve your desired objective.
