Festival and Event producer from New Zealand, Kyle has been one of the driving forces behind the success of New Zealand’s longest running music festival – Rhythm and Vines.
His love of the brand and his understanding of digital, content and ticketing strategies has enabled him to become one of the market leaders in live entertainment marketing and promotion in NZ. His work in 2017 was nominated for Tourism NZ Marketing Campaign of the Year, and his new role now sees him work under the banner of Live Nation who acquired controlling stake of R&V earlier this year.
In the past couple of year’s, Kyle’s attention has focused towards combating “filthy” ticket scalpers and scammers. This year, a deal was signed between Rhythm and Vines and Melbourne based platform Tixel which has created a safe marketplace for resale tickets for the festival. The integration between Eventbrite and Tixel not only ensures that the tickets are legit, but also restricts the unwanted ability of selling above current price. The platform was launched in NZ in July 2018, and Kyle hopes to present a range of interesting insights into buyer behaviour and other results in the war against ticket scalpers and scammers.
Kyle also launched digital platform Concrete Playground into New Zealand in 2011, and is co-Founder of Promotions and Touring company Endeavour Live, hosting acts such as Mac Miller, Carl Cox, Basement Jaxx, Fatboy Slim and John Butler Trio.
