Lorna Clarkson has almost three decades of experience in music programming and curation; as a DJ, music director, journalist, radio host, and event programmer. She has curated stages for Laneway Festival, music editor of Pages Online and Muzik Magazine, judge for the Australian Music Prize and ARIA Awards, instigated and directed CDR Australia, and in 2009, was acknowledged as a Creative Catalyst of Sydney.
When not working the dancefloor late at night, Lorna directs the taste of the next generation via her role as Managing Director of Kinderling Kids Radio by day and then by night, hosts and curates a multi-award winning radio show Down Low Disco on 2SER 107.3 FM pushing all new/unreleased electronic music with her all-female production team.
At the core of her work in music, however, is Lorna’s heartfelt and personal interviews with the best-of-the-best in music. From legends such as Larry Heard, Theo Parrish, and Tony Humphries, to more recent trailblazers such as Hudson Mohawke, Kode 9 and Matthew Herbert, Lorna has the unique ability to push past the identity to meet the person.
